Unique Isla Mujeres accommodations with Breakfast...This attractive “B & B by the sea” offers an off-the-beaten track location for those seeking a place of beauty where they can relax in a tranquil environment, enjoy a terrific ocean view, and partake of local ambiance all at the same time.
Located about mid-island on the Caribe side, close to the local colonia and near the ocean’s edge, Villa Caribe is in the perfect spot to catch the sea breezes. Passing through the front gate, you enter an open-air living room, where you can enjoy conversation, the view or a good book. Just before you is the fresh-water pool and sunning area, and now there is also a jacuzzi tub! Adjacent to the outdoor seating is a dining nook, where you can be served a special breakfast, included in the room rate. A few steps beyond the pool is the little Playa Media Luna as it is called by the locals (not to be confused with a beach of the same name in the north beach area). Here you can swim, body surf, snorkel or just play in the waves.
The guest rooms consist of 6 spacious and well furnished rooms: three poolside, two above and featuring authentic thatched palapa roofs overhead (and hanging beds!), and the honeymoon suite, also on the upper level, but on the other side of the building, separate from the others. All rooms have king beds, poolside and honeymoon suites have A/C, and the palapa-roofed rooms have walls that fold back to catch the breeze and to reveal an awesome ocean view All rooms have large bathrooms with custom colorful Mexican tiling, and a conch shell as a shower head. What makes this place really stand out from the rest is the attention to details paid in designing and decorating these rooms. Owners Curtis and Ashley have used an eclectic combination of personal items from their previous home and artesania from the local culture to good effect, creating a cozy and romantic atmosphere. This is a great spot for a group of friends or a family reunion, rent the whole place and have it to yourselves!
All rooms sleep one or two persons only, with the exception of the Honeymoon Suite, which will accomodate one other person, with an extra charge of $50 per night. This property is for adults, unless all rooms are rented by the same group, in which case children 16 or older are welcome. Guests are asked to respect quiet hours during the late evening and night and to observe the regular times during which breakfast is served.
