Affordable apartments(cabanas) in Isla Mujeres.....
Comfort, beauty and a great price is what you get at Playa Gaviota! These are really apartments, but feel like cabins or cottages. The owners take great pride in making your stay here as enjoyable as possible, by providing you with well-maintained and very comfortable accommodations. Daily maid service is a plus.
There are five upper guest suites, approachable from both the road and the beach, via the stairs leading down to the very large and beautiful beach area below. Four of these spacious units have two queen beds in one room, and a kitchenette, dining area and bathroom. The fifth ("Deluxe") unit has a king bed, kitchenette and bathroom. All five have terraces overlooking the beach below, and affording a spectacular view of the Bay of Mujeres and Cancun. This is a perfect place to enjoy the famous Isla sunset. On the beach there are two more units, each with two queen beds, a kitchenette and bathroom. There is a door separating the bedroom from the kitchenette area in these two units. All units have A/C and ceiling fans.
Newly available is the Casa, a free-standing small house with loft bedroom, living and dining rooms, full kitchen, and bathroom, as well as a patio in front facing the beach. This has a double bed and a single, and can sleep up to three.
There is a palapa equipped with hammocks for those afternoon siestas, and a communal barbecue. Whether you like to socialize or prefer your privacy, this beach is large enough to provide you with a tranquil place to relax into your vacation getaway. Playa Gaviota is a good buy for your money.
There are other enjoyable beaches nearby, including Garrafon Park and Garrafon de Castilla Beach Club. There are also several excellent restaurants, notably "Casa O's", which is highly recommended and located next to Maria's Kankin, now open again for business, and Almar Lounge at Casa de Los Suenos. All three are closer to the south end and provide fine dining in a beautiful setting by the water. At Playa Lancheros, just a short walk down the beach to the north, you can have a feast of the famous grilled fish, Yucatan style or choose from other seafood dishes. Also nearby in Sac Bajo are the Turtle Farm and Swim with the Dolphins. Taxis to town for fun or supplies are almost always readily available and inexpensive.

| To confirm a reservation, a deposit of one-half of the total rental fee must be received
within two weeks of making reservation. Balance is due on arrival, and keys will not be
given to guests unless the payment is ready at that time, no exceptions, regardless of
reason(payment in full before arrival is another option).
If cancellation is necessary, a full refund of deposit will be given if intent to cancel is
received at least 60 days prior to arrival; one half of the deposit will be refunded between
60-30 days prior, and if less than 30 days, no refund will be given, regardless of reason.
We recommend that guests purchase trip insurance, readily available on-line, to
safeguard against loss of any kind, whether illness, weather or other unforseen
eventualities that might prevent you from honoring your reservation.
One change in reservation dates may be done with no charge; additional changes will be
assessed a fee of $25 each.
