Isla Mujeres-Colonia living in a new house...Na Wayak - Maya for "House of Dreams"- gives you the best of both worlds, offering a very spacious and open modern new house with touches of local style and materials, as seen in the Palapa-covered terrace and windows, interior doors inlaid with bamboo to provide increased air circulation, and of course, tile throughout in floors, bathrooms and kitchen counters.
The living room is located on the upper level to obtain a view of the ocean, a half a block distant. Comfortable couches provide ample seating and cable TV is installed for home entertainment. Two bedrooms, one with queen bed, the other with two doubles, a full bathroom, a mini-kitchen, and the palapa terrace with table and chairs and a hammock complete the second level. Downstairs you will find the main kitchen and dining room, a third bedroom with queen bed, and another full bathroom.
Located on the Caribe side in Colonia La Gloria, Na Wayak receives strong sea breezes much of the year. Ceiling fans provide additional ventilation.
Mingle with the islanders in one of their own neighborhoods here and get a better feel for island life. If you want to go to town to shop, enjoy a meal at one of the many great restaurants, or hang out on Playa Norte, it is an easy matter to hail a passing taxi or to take the bus from here...If you prefer to enjoy the low-key colonia life, there is a local fruit and vegetable market within easy walking distance, small tiendas to purchase staple items and beverages, and local restaurants serving typical (tacos) and not so typical fare (Chinese takeout, pizza).
If you happen to be an early riser, the sunrise from this location is glorious, and for beachcombers there is a long stretch of rocky/sandy beach reaching from here to Punta Sur. In the summer months, you will see where the giant turtles have left the ocean , labored to dig a hole in which to lay their eggs, and the path taken back to the ocean. Pelicans abound along the coast here as well...watch them dive-bomb the surface of the sea , as they fish for their breakfast....
Na Wayak is a perfect place for a family or group of friends to enjoy a tranquil and relaxing visit to the island, while avoiding the usual crush of tourists.

| To confirm a reservation, a deposit of one-half of the total rental fee must be received
within two weeks of making reservation. Balance is due on arrival, and keys will not be
given to guests unless the payment is ready at that time, no exceptions, regardless of
reason(payment in full before arrival is another option).
If cancellation is necessary, a full refund of deposit will be given if intent to cancel is
received at least 60 days prior to arrival; one half of the deposit will be refunded between
60-30 days prior, and if less than 30 days, no refund will be given, regardless of reason.
We recommend that guests purchase trip insurance, readily available on-line, to
safeguard against loss of any kind, whether illness, weather or other unforseen
eventualities that might prevent you from honoring your reservation.
One change in reservation dates may be done with no charge; additional changes will be
assessed a fee of $25 each.
