This unusual tiered round house has come to be known by the Isla Mujeres locals as “Casa del Pastel’, the “Cake House”. and so it will remain until the owners decide on a different name! Located at the south end of the island, and set in a large walled yard with a broad expanse of lawn, bordered by trees and flowers, it commands a wonderful view of the Caribbean Sea, especially from the second floor bedroom and the third floor private sunning and observation deck.
The lower level contains the kitchen and dining-room, as well as a living room and full bathroom. Outside, follow an enclosed circular stairway to the second level, where there are two double beds and a second bathroom. Large sliding glass doors open onto the balcony and sea view beyond. Both levels have 360 degree balconies to enjoy the view and breeze. This house is perfect for a couple wanting privacy and space. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, an electric stovetop, microwave oven, coffee maker and toaster.
Transportation is recommended at this location, for easier access to town and other island destinations. However, there are several good beaches close enough to walk to from here, and there are great hiking trails along the coast to the south end, where you will find the Mayan ruin dedicated to the goddess Ixchel. On the Bay side, which is reached by traversing a short connecting road from this house to the other side, Garrafon Park provides a pleasant diversion for a day of sunning and swimming. Also nearby is Garrafon de Castilla Beach Club, a less expensive and equally entertaining place to spend the day. Don’t miss a sunset drink and dinner in the palapa restaurant called Casa O’s, where owners Lynn and Tom and their excellent staff provide an experience you will remember for its beauty as well as its delicious, well-prepared and presented meals.

Cancellation and Refund Policy |
| To confirm a reservation, a deposit of one-half of the total rental fee must be received
within two weeks of making reservation. Balance is due on arrival, and keys will not be
given to guests unless the payment is ready at that time, no exceptions, regardless of
reason(payment in full before arrival is another option).
If cancellation is necessary, a full refund of deposit will be given if intent to cancel is
received at least 60 days prior to arrival; one half of the deposit will be refunded between
60-30 days prior, and if less than 30 days, no refund will be given, regardless of reason.
We recommend that guests purchase trip insurance, readily available on-line, to
safeguard against loss of any kind, whether illness, weather or other unforseen
eventualities that might prevent you from honoring your reservation.
One change in reservation dates may be done with no charge; additional changes will be
assessed a fee of $25 each.
