Spend your family vacation on Isla Mujeres in a typical Mexican family vacation home! Casa Bonita de Isla is a colorful, versatile home set at the ocean’s edge overlooking the Bay of Mujeres, with a view to Cancun. An unusually large property, there is a huge well-maintained yard with tropical gardens and a spacious manicured lawn, and featuring a large thatched-roof Palapa with family-sized dining table outside, where you can prepare and enjoy your meals with family and friends, using the grill and the outside kitchen. After the meal, take a lazy siesta in one of the many hammocks provided for that purpose. This is a great place for kids, with lots of playing and running space, as well as a children’s playground area.
The house itself has six bedrooms, each with a bathroom, sleeping up to 15 persons comfortably. The bedrooms are situated on three different levels, making it possible for several groups of friends or family to enjoy a measure of privacy in different areas of the house. In addition to the main kitchen, there is an outside kitchen in the palapa, and kitchenettes in two other areas of the house. There is a dining room and small living area with TV on the ground level of the Casa. A small private beach with lounge chairs for relaxing is directly in front of the Casa.
Casa Bonita has also become a popular venue for weddings and family reunions...the large palapa and spacious grounds lend themself to a celebratory gathering, and the adjacent upscale Villa Bonita de Isla (owned by the same family)provides additional housing, from the luxurious four bedroom, four bathroom penthouse, to the two and three bedroom condos and Jr Suites. Both properties combined can sleep upwards of 50 people.
Nearby attractions include Garrafon Park, the Mayan ruin at Punta Sur, popular Palapa restaurant Casa O’s, and Maria’s Kankin Restaurant, open once again for dining. Both of these restaurants are adjacent to Casa Bonita de Isla. The island is small, so nothing is very far away. The Turtle Farm and Dolphin Discovery are a short trip down the Sac Bajo peninsula. And don’t miss Playa Lancheros for a typical Yucatan barbecued fish feast on the beach, a local hangout on Sundays, especially. A short walk across the island to the Caribe side and you can enjoy hiking along the cliffs leading to Punta Sur, a great way to view the sunrise (and the Casa itself is a terrific place to watch the dramatic sunsets), the many birds and plants native to the region, and to witness the magnificence of the sea as it crashes on the rocks below.

| To confirm a reservation, a deposit of one-half of the total rental fee must be received
within two weeks of making reservation. Balance is due on arrival, and keys will not be
given to guests unless the payment is ready at that time, no exceptions, regardless of
reason(payment in full before arrival is another option).
If cancellation is necessary, a full refund of deposit will be given if intent to cancel is
received at least 60 days prior to arrival; one half of the deposit will be refunded between
60-30 days prior, and if less than 30 days, no refund will be given, regardless of reason.
We recommend that guests purchase trip insurance, readily available on-line, to
safeguard against loss of any kind, whether illness, weather or other unforseen
eventualities that might prevent you from honoring your reservation.
One change in reservation dates may be done with no charge; additional changes will be
assessed a fee of $25 each.
